UAE Leads the Future of Clean Aviation
The UAE is advancing clean energy strategies in aviation, including regulations for electric vertiports, sustainable aviation fuel development, and increased solar energy use, aligning with its Net Zero 2050 vision

Green Aviation Infrastructure
The UAE is pioneering green aviation infrastructure by introducing electric vertiports and sustainable airport operations. The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has established new regulations for vertiports powered by clean energy, supporting the integration of electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft. Additionally, major airports are adopting solar energy solutions to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Development
The UAE is accelerating the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) through collaborations between Emirates, Etihad, ADNOC, Masdar, and ENOC. The formation of the "AirCraft" Alliance aims to produce and implement low-carbon SAF alternatives, reducing the aviation sector’s environmental footprint. These efforts align with ICAO and IATA sustainability goals, positioning the UAE as a regional leader in SAF innovation.

As part of its Energy Strategy 2050, the UAE is integrating clean energy policies into aviation, ensuring compliance with international sustainability frameworks. With a focus on zero-emission aircraft technology, regulatory updates, and carbon reduction initiatives, the UAE is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, setting a global benchmark for green aviation.
